Waking Dream Poem by Strydar Enox

Waking Dream

Butterflies flutter their wings in the park.
Praying mantises come and rip them apart.
A messed up analogy its just another tragedy.
I slaughtered my metaphor as if it were casually.
This started as a poem but a rap it became
Either way verses can be taken just the same.
A bird then comes and the mantis dies.
Fed to the children of fowl in the sky.
Everything lives and everything dies.
Nothing can break this circle in time.
When we are born we wake from a dream.
We didn't fall asleep to have that what's conceived.
When we die we just fall back into our dream.
From there do we wake up? I have yet to see.
