Walk Alone Poem by Barima Basoah

Walk Alone

Eyes blind me,
that I cannot see anymore.
Now I am as blind as a shadow.

Ears block me
that I cannot hear anymore.
Now I am as deaf as the dead.

Mouths shut me
that I cannot speak anymore.
Now I am as dumb as a rabbit.

Places lock me
that I am not welcomed anymore.
Now I am a banished man out of the world.

Lonely man on a lonely path,
to a lonely place all alone,
I am alone and I walk alone.
