'Walk With Me And Take My Love' Poem by Rudan A. Matiga

'Walk With Me And Take My Love'

Come! Walk with me and take my love;
And make your heart with treasures fill.
With golden ring, a ribbon to your hair,
...... A silver crown fit for a queen.

And there I'll carve your name inside the hall,
On that pedestal, you will be above them all.
And they will come like roses climbing to adore,
A girl whose beauty so gentle and so pure.

I lay prostrate before you to offer you my soul.
Upon a lovely face that's painted on your wall;
And if by luck I have a chance to hear you say,
It's like a host of angels singing hymn to me.

By nature's beauty I look at you in every way,
Brooks, streams and rivers emptying out to sea,
Trees that reach its arms to heaven everyday,
Little flower and all in Nature is a joy to me.

In glee I jump beholding a rainbow as it bends,
Far across the sky a pot of gold is at its end,
A spectacle can't be denied in all its sense...
Even birds stretch its wings to watch the scene.

I love the art of writing verses pure and true,
It recalls my childhood dream so simple as it grew.
If these words I treasured most will make thee move,
So come closer dear! Walk with me and take my love!
