Walkin' Poem by Steven Aragon

Walkin'

Walking down the street
strutting my speech
just look at how far
these strides reach
on a journey to nowhere
but it's hard to be that deep
without drowining on the surface
dying to breathe

Walking down the street
strutting my speech
just hear how silent
are these screams
I keep on rhymin'
to stay focused and clean
I see you crying
here's some hope and some dreams

Walking down the street
strutting my speech
the doves are flying
there's finally peace
the third eye is eyeing
I finally see
I am that I am
the holy trinity

Walking down the street
strutting my speech
It's hard to believe
but I reached divinity
this is your intervention
so I pray that you really see
religions are different branches
from the same tree

Walking down the street
strutting my speech
I don't mean to preach
I just aim to teach
sham wow it all up
don't allow it to leak
follow, you're lead
I'll see you next week
