Wandering On The Plane Of Oblivion Poem by Adookorn Auaduma

Wandering On The Plane Of Oblivion

Our patience has left its cot to wander
the plane of oblivion, and parade the grave yard
away, on the silenced street of abyss

why not soar a diurnal bird, and rise
with the sanguine sun, till her ecru ray
set at the painterly plane of the sky

why not soar a nocturnal bird, and glide
with the humble mocking moon, till dawn
lit a smile of hope, far off the forlorn sky

why not linger in the sackcloth of lack,
for the divine to reply to our petition -
while we wait for the promised dawn

how long shall we wait for the sun to rise
how long before it rays on those kneeling
how long shall carnivore feed on herbivore
how long will vulture feed on carcasses
how long will blood entice the hunter shark
how long shall the hen donate its golden eggs
how long will the mountain grow taller
how long will the valley deepen deeper
how long will terra firma remain uneven -

as long as the sun sit on our head, and the
moon is paralysed, while the stars have fallen,
and life dance in rainbow ashes!
