Torn between their words and mine
lost within hurt to close to bear
scars hidden from the eyes
but sewn to the heart
kisses disappear
warmth dies in the winter crisp
and hearts crack, tear, break, and fall forever
a body heavy from the world
a girl rising from the ashes of deceit
blankets that shielded
us from the world lightens
rising up today
sorrow was once tomorrow, it was yesterday
the past and present
what love that once so oftenly
stood as the pillow for my head
has never been taken
thrown away until
i earn it back i can't pick up the pieces
but i'll never give up
trying to be
'What you Wanted.'
