War(?) Poem by Nex W.

War(?)

It's like they treat us,
Our lives,
Our world,
As a board game to be played.
All these peoples lives
To be traded away as if they were nothing.
No consequences came their way,
And so,
They did not care.

They did not care what their actions did to their people.
The people who fought so hard for their countries;
The people who lost their lives to the fighting,
To the guns.
Never getting to see their sons,
Their daughters,
Again.

They young boys;
Barely men, some not even;
Who were left to bleed out,
To die on the battle field alone,
Seen as dead weight to bring with.
Trying,
And failing,
To heal his injuries;
Refused to stop pouring crimson blood,
Staining their mangled clothes,
And the dry dirt he bled out on.
