Warm Feeling Poem by Paul Reed

Warm Feeling

Rating: 5.0

"I get a warm feelin' when you're near me
I get a warm feelin' when you're holdin' me
I feel the love rushes hangin' round me
Even when you're gone"

Ray Jackson/Charlie Harcourt. Lindisfarne

In those days life was simple
The only care, the odd pimple
We had platform shoes and afghan coats
Lots of drink and antidotes;

It didn't matter the weather getting cold
Or how many times the story was told
We had each other and that was enough
We didn't notice that life was so tough;

But now the wind is harsh and cold
You feel it more when you get old
Now the years between have left us reeling
Whatever happened to that lovely ‘warm feeling'?
