I'm the warrior
who never tasted war
Of fists or arms yet
Within me lies a bore,
A bore not of sword or spear.
My exploits on the battle
Field No one may tell
Because it was never a tale
Meant to be told.
My screams and chants
Never echoed because they never Left the mouth and like a shadow,
I maneuvered and fought in silence.
Wounded and battered I now lay
Refusing to be drenched
In turmoil and disarray.
My soul glimmers for if
I ever go back home, I'll go back a warrior.
