Wasted - Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Felt the winds of change
Last night, took my breath,
Watered my eyes, cold,
Standing alone, overcome by
Her power. Bathed my pillows
In silence, cannot explain
What I do not understand,
Alone and relieved to be in
This moment. Trying to keep
Peace within, asking no questions
And giving no answers. A moment
Of solitude, kept to myself,
How I miss these. Wish I
Could have appreciated them
When there was an abundance.
Wonder why I wasted them waiting
When I should have spent them
