When you need somebody to understand
Need somebody to hold your hand
Need someone to make a stand
I'll be there.

When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you want a soldier to fight on
When you need the strength to go on
I'll be there.

When it seems no one is there
When it seems none cares
When it becomes too much to bear
I'll be there.

When you can't take it anymore
When you want the pill your mate saw
When your lying dead on the floor
I'll be there.

When you wished you didn't do it
When your parents feel responsible for it
When I could have helped you through it
Remember, I was there.
