Watching Fire. Poem by Stephen S. Yeandle

Watching Fire.

Rating: 5.0

No,
don’t
put it out.

Let it always
burn.

It fires nights,
of many minds
to the day.

As long as she is living;
eternal flame
ablaze.

It will rain
but
still will come the
flame.

Yes
there will be
troubles and woes.

Everything
done
been done
before.

When you look into her eyes
you will see
all the others and
I.

Don’t try to understand
a third degree burn.

Just another mail drop,
then go your way.

What does it matter
the price that you
pay...
