Waves

I feel the depth of the ocean's darkness
As the cold furious waves pound the shore
Creating a cold spray that stings my face
Waves of pain and problems
Waves the color of wet cement
Bring the weight of despair and hopelessness
Each wave is a problem in my life
Waves crashing along the shore
They take out of me a little more
From deep darkness underneath the sea
The waves keep crashing into me
These waves from the mighty ocean swell
Assail upon my craggy rock of a life
Their raging fury shakes me to the core
A cold stinging salty spray, please no more
Am I doomed to imprisonment which knows no end
Living in gloomy depths of tribulation
Greater than the roar of the mighty breakers of the sea
Is the burden and desperation of my plea
Waves
