I lay awake listening to someone else breathing, waves rolling to waves
it's only dark because my eyes are closed and away, to where eyes go,
rescuing pictures, and their breaths, more relaxing than mine
away to somewhere like strawberries, spacious like space filled with clouds
and no music, just sound, but sounds upon mountains and rooftops,
we flew to the sky, our bodies, our halos, hers as glowing as mine
