Way Past The Limit Poem by Simbarashe Raymond Mudukuti

Way Past The Limit

All I could do was watch as she raged on
The anger could not be anguished
In this poem I am the passenger and so are you
And what can we do besides sitting back
Relaxing and learning a few lessons like usual
All I remember was the scolding sounds she the engine was making
It's more like it was making fun of how little it valued our lives
Does it know that we have spent hard earned Roman coins *custodying it
I doubt it
I've seen so many breathe their last sigh that way
And so did we
I don't want to waste time telling you that we almost made it out
No. best get to know it earlier
As fast and emotionlessness as it happened
As fast as I will elucidate the happenings
Truth is I don't remember
It all happened too quickly for me to remember anything
Therefore what can I explain?
Nothing. Zero.
Not that I'm speaking from the grave. No.
But that no one knows how their days comes
Especially when we go past the limit
