Wayward, Are You? Poem by Sanjay Mehta

Wayward, Are You?

Rating: 4.0

Lords creation,
Supreme
Realised.
Acknowledged.
Is Supreme.

Hither, Thither, Wither
Goes
Knows Not?
Where he goes
Still goes.

Ambushing paths
Ought not be tread
But
With contempt, treads
As if, else, no one will tread
Else, no one will tread.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was in Delhi and it so happened that in an 'pan shop' an cigeratte pack of Rs.49-00 MRP was purchased and Rs.50-00 note was handed over. The shopkeeper was asked to hand over Rs.1-00. The shopkeeper without giving a second thought gestured to hand back the packet and threw back the Rs.50-00 note. I was taken aback, was I wrong in demanding Rs.1-00 or the shopkeeper had the right to demand money more than the MRP............any redressal for this without any qualms. A big question mark.
