We All Fall Down Poem by James Faughner

We All Fall Down

We all fall,
Nothing Flat
Wings Burning
Into the Abyssal plane
and now
The Ocean is Friend
Waxing as the sky
a few hundred leagues
in a motionless journey
Testifying the shortest day
in your history
The Sun sets
as your eyes have never seen
the angler fish twinkle
like starlight

Here
there is no more fear
Here
in the Darkest Corner of the Universe.
There are no Salty Caterwaul
Because You Live
Filled to the brim
with tears
You sail on strange,

Glittering Glowing eyeless Minnows
Nip at your outerwear
but scurry fast
at the light
emanating
from your eye

Millanium Passes
Giganium Passes
someone finally connects with you
your on a date as sediments
under a microscope
across time and permutation
against all odds
I think we have found
True Love
