We Are After All Poem by Mark Hopwood

We all share in pain and in fears
We all care we feel rain and tears
We are after all Human beings,
So why do we close our eyes?
And why do we seal off our hearts?
So why do we destroy it all
Before the creating even starts?
Why is the question thats on my mind
And there is an answer one day I'll find.

High in the heavens there's a star thats burning
Lost in ourselves are many worlds that keep turning
The tides are changing the oceans are spinning
A new hope rises and washes in a new beginning,
Because there's so many things we can't yet see, feel or hear
But with every passing day it becomes a little more clear
A soul lives in every smile and every tear
And that is so clear.
