We Are Spartans Poem by jasmine dugas

We Are Spartans

From the beginning, we we're brought together from state to state
Anxious as we wait
Placed in 4th platoon by faith
Wearing the color green, we struggled to learn the means
Of the army lifestyle we soon to receive
But our four drill sergeants made us believe that we have what it takes to become the next generation soldier
As we grew we become bolder, learning we would have to carry the U.S. on our shoulders
We struggled to adjust being around each other every day
But still the spartans found a way
We argued, screamed, and yelled but still the spartans never fail
We came as one, stand as fifty-four
Succeed today, see tomorrow still the spartans soar
