We Are Still Children Poem by Phil Anderson

We Are Still Children

I do now see, you cannot hear
Or speak, not able to say, it is okay,
There is no fear, I will help
As best I can, find a way
Patience, watch, be clear.

Gentle, so gentle, I already can tell,
Helpful, beneficent, with my mind,
I will spell, you will see
Clearly, touching ardor within,
Smile, connect, no need to dwell.

Moment by moment, heart's afire,
You cannot hear, but can you now see?
A connection, desire, a charm,
With me, could it be?
To see without noise, we admire.

We must know, so little time,
On this fine balance,
This precious Earth
We must say goodbye, by rule
Then you are gone, my desire.
