We Belong Together - Poem by Mindy Browne

This is a duet song.

I see you walking in front of me,
Talking with the wannabes.
How could I have a chance with you?
What I didn't know was I do...

I saw you just yesterday.
Standing in the hallway.
Looking over my way,
I just wanted to say.

(Chorus) (Together)
When you look at me
How do you feel?
When I look at you,
Nothing is real.

Seeing you, Seeing me.
Why can't we see?
We belong,
Belong together!

You always seem to be laughing.
Standing with your friends and talking.
Wish I could be there at your side.
When I said no, I lied.

You sit right in front of me,
Your hair fixed so perfectly.
You smile and glance at me.
I just wanted to say.

We just can't get above,
That we are in love.
That what if he/she,
Doesn't even like me

Why can't we realize?
When we look in each others eyes.
That your the one for me,
Why can't we just see?

(Alternating girl and boy)
You were standing in the hallway.
Your hair fixed so perfectly.
Looking over my way.
You smiled and glanced at me.
We both just said.
