We Belong Together - Poem by Emily Reid

I didn't mean it when I let you go.

I didn't mean it when I said goodbye.

I didn't mean it when I said all those hurtful words.

Sorry can't replace our love.

Sorry can't replace our trust.

Sorry can't bring back the face I miss so much.

Two hearts.
Two souls.
Equal
Us as a whole.

Please come back, I wanna say.

But that's not gonna get you to stay.

I'm empty without you.

I'm alone in this cold world without you here.

Let's try again, give it one more chance.

This time it just might last.
