We Dit It! (Sonnet # 209) Poem by Tina Baaklini

We Dit It! (Sonnet # 209)

Violins play divinely mesmerising sound
But nothing touches my heart as your voice
With each word, my heart roams above the ground
While I feel your tenderness and rejoice.

We're a queen and her king In a chess game
The power of our love fights all the odds
The win of eternity is worth the pain
Blessed is the sacredness of love by God.

While the path of love is filled with roadblocks
Souls breathe the sweetness of divine freedom
Through storms, one must be solid as rocks
Till soulmates' hearts merge as an endless home.

The path of love, we happily trod it,
I long for the day we say: we did it!
