We Live As If We Are Only A Small Remnant Of Ourselves Poem by Shalom Freedman

We Live As If We Are Only A Small Remnant Of Ourselves

All that we are now
Cannot again be
What we have lived-

Our lives pass
And even before we are dust
So little remains
We never are wholly ourselves-
