We Meet Poem by Nathan Reynolds

We Meet

I turned my head then saw her face
My heart quickened as she moved toward me with such grace.
She embraced me, the love I have long to see
Travelled lands to be with me, then
She looked up, in to my eyes,
I met two black pearls, a glint from the skies.

There was no betrayal, nor deceit
just two harts waiting, just waiting to meet.
My confessions of love flowed from within,
all my words spoken softly, through a Cheshire grin.
I have waited so long for this moment to be in your arms my love
Nothing on this earth would stop this
not even the power's from above.

If I had died on my road to see thee
I would stand before him and with my plea,
One moment in her arms with one kiss
I give my soul for an eternity,
for I will never again know such bliss.
I love her more than life,
This woman whose path I crossed just twice.
