We Remember (Ausschwitz Tribute) Poem by Pierre Rausch

We Remember (Ausschwitz Tribute)

Voices on the floor below
Well, it will be nothing
Cries on the floor below
What on earth is happening

Trains arriving in Ausschwitz
But surely you must know
How everyone's heart would crack into two
It looked like a picture to illustrate
Surprised to notice
Seemed to surprise

I remember absolutely nothing
You could think it had only been
You wondered if you'd seen her
There's nowhere else to go

Trains arriving in Ausschwitz
But surely you must know
How everyone's heart would crack into two
It looked like a picture to illustrate
Surprised to notice
Seemed to surprise

Given in desire
I remember the inaugural announcement
Turned it a shade higher than normal
The same dream as every night

Trains arriving in Ausschwitz
But surely you must know
How everyone's heart would crack into two
It looked like a picture to illustrate
Surprised to notice
Seemed to surprise

Surprised to notice a crime scene
The train for a better world
