We Set Out On The Gravel Road

Rating: 5.0

We set out on the gravel road

We set out on the gravel road before it turned to mud
We heard our hearts were beating and we felt the pumping blood

Lift your eyes to see the skyline
Hold your face up to the sunshine
The world is yours – so go and take a look

And our feet were finding rhythm as we strode along our road
All our voices joined in singing as we shared the heavy load
The souls who walked beside us would be there at journey’s end
And the road snakes out before us – up the hills and round the bend

Chorus:
