We Were Sharks Poem by Andrus Cassian

We Were Sharks

Why before the questions persists, must there remain an air
Evermore an air of mystery surrounding false pleasantries
What was meant for leisure is now seen as detrimental
Even though a door blocks the door to an alternate world
Rarely does it open to find a student hard at work
Exist does he in a dimensional box
Show some respect, he's more than reclusive well below the surface
Heart, he has too much
Angry, the theme for today
Rightfully so, for the faith in this student, there is none
Kiss, well there is a kiss waiting for him miles away
So in his own fantasy universe, he goes to run and play
