We Will Endure Poem by Ros Venn

We Will Endure

There are times when we are weak but we most be strong,
There are times when we're at our strongest but mentally fragile as an eggshell,
There are times when we give into our temptations at our weakest and strongest points,
But there is always a tomorrow.

We get to start again anew each morning, be faster, better, stronger and disciplined,
We cannot give in, for there will always be a tomorrow,
We need to be intrinsically motivated, others will envy us and want the worst to happen to us,
We cannot extrinsically look for that motivation, it needs to be your own driving force.

If we fall off that horse we just get back up again, and again and again until we stop falling,
We may feel like weak creatures but we must endure for we are no where near the end,
Good and bad times lie ahead of us, we must never let them stop us,
There shall always be a tomorrow,

Eventually the end will come, and whist we lay on our death bed we can say we never quit,
we'll say we endured with every last bit of energy we had,
Sure we gave in at our weakest moments from time to time,
But we will be able to say that we endured and found our way back on track.

Whilst we lay there breathing ours last breaths, entering our fear of the unknown,
We'll know we lived our lives to it's fullest,
We will welcome death, total blackness or arrive at the paradise land,
We will endure, time will go on for time stops for no one.
