Weather The Storm Poem by Shala Drake

Weather The Storm

Broken and bashed; body slammed against the rocks
Flesh tears like wet tissue paper
Water tinged pink
Waves keep rolling ferociously in
Ravenous sharks smell blood; swim in the vicinity
Persistence is key to survival
Drowning; life will cease to exist
Holding on; begging for help from a craggy abyss
Excruciating pain; is it worth it?
Grip is weak; let go!
Perish!
Death is but a moment of peace.

Very dramatic imagery. Moments like this decide how far we can go with our will and strength and if fate decides to intervene at the right moment by sending help or depriving us from it. Thanks for sharing.
