Wedding Ring Poem by jerlyn eguia

Wedding Ring

i look at their wedding rings
glistening, like the river's surface
at noon, like i am a boat,
floating on the water, i sigh,
when, when, shall i have one?
when shall my love come?

i wait for the next thing,
i promise myself, i shall catch
the bridal bouquet, i must,
i shall be next to walk
the aisle, and i shall say
'i do'.

jerlyn, oneday you will come to know that the wedding ring is also a symbol; a symbol of the difference between what you wish things to be and what they really are! Good Luck anyway
