Weddings Poem by Ragy Sandid

Weddings

I've never been
To my family's weddings
Even if that's the case
We never crossed endings

I've been to friends'
Weddings more than families
Strange how affection depends
On strangers' hospitalities

I've been front row
With frontal attention
With stranger who welcomed me
Claimed me no dissention

But family somehow
Sent me a coincidental
Invitation through cyberspace
Claimed it completely "unintentional"

I'm not sore
I know family can be
Just that and I need not more
Regular Family: wedding and a cemetery
