Weekend Poem by Hiroshi Satow

Weekend

It's just around yesterday
they've began chirping, cicadas,
as if counting till the end of the week
as if resistant to the fate
cicadas.
Sing every second,
pierce the sky;
gathering together,
cover every bit of it
with black.
