Weight Of My Heart Poem by Malory Joyce

Weight Of My Heart

Awe-inspiring,
Such a girl to take his breath away,
Leaving him gasping in my face;
I realize I’m sharp enough to cut her throat.

I can feel the weight of my heart.

Too heavy, its weight falling,
Holding down my anger I can not lift,
Keeping that side of me from escaping.

Overthrown,
Her lies hidden behind such beautiful eyes,
In order for him to love me again I shall sacrifice
Going with her unknown and my voice heard.

I can feel the weight of my heart.

Too heavy, its weight falling,
Holding down my anger, I can not lift.
