Were u even here?

I saw this beautiful gal across the room,
she was glowing like the moon,
grooving to the beat of the tune,
knew I had to act this out soon.

Risking it all I took the chance,
reached for her hand,
asked would u like to dance,
we swept across the floor,
it was like we were in a trance,
then your face was covered in tears,
in a flash u had disappeared,
couldn't believe my eyes,
were u even here?

I tried my best,
I still couldn't forget,
I dreamed every night,
past the spot where we met,
and i hope one day,
that i'll see your face,
but you're never here,
were u even here? !

So real I couldnt believe this wasnt even true,
it put me in a time or place with u,
and if you're out there please know,
I'll remember u forever,
I cant seem to let it go,
I wont forget u ever.
