What A Jerk Poem by Jane Doherty

What A Jerk

I'm still working on my writing...give me tips to make this flow better. I'm not very pleased with the rhyme scheme, but thats how it came out of my head.

I’m sorry that in my anguish
I was reckless and selfish
I felt I couldn't toe the line
When it wasn't clearly defined
I talked much about my self
Because I knew no one else
I began to think I knew you
But you betrayed me too
Although I wish our relationship could mend
I’m afraid our friendship has come to an end
Thank you for bringing my flaws to my attention
and don’t worry, Allyson, Your name, I won't mention
