What Are You? Poem by Romel Davis

What Are You?

Are you even real
To compose a piece of art with the intricacies
I'm observing every crevice of your entity is breathtaking, and breath making
My spirit was shaken by your presence and forced my motion
Sent my soul into a flustered commotion
Our eyes locked and it was over.
You made my spirit smile from the inside out
Sensations of love professed in actions involuntary of our will, it's real
Goddess in the flesh, I can't wait to taste your love
Your scarab spoke divinity that I had to embrace
Especially after you sent me on that chase
Last isle of the store.
But how could I implore anything more
