What Could Possibly Poem by Asma Khan

What Could Possibly

What could possibly go wrong
in the immense light of the blazing sun
when you begin to lose your sight?

What could possibly hold you back
in the roaring storms of fate
when you stand still to welcome them?

What could possibly take your place
in the heart of winter blues
when you ignite the fire to burn yourself?

What could possibly remind you of me
in the middle of a mirage of memories
when you lost your battle of the heart?

What could possibly change your feelings
in the sense of to be or not to be
when you chose your odds against me?

What could possibly put you to sleep
in the dark and cold trance
when you stopped to dream me anymore

What could possibly be our end
in the rush of this silver and gold hunt
when you bear everything I ever needed?
