What Do I Do - Poem by Fatma Maleta

Hey I loved you,
I loved you more than you knew,
But I guess The Lord loved you too,
And he will take good care of you.

There are words I wanted to say,
But I can't now anyway,
As all I could do is cry,
And hope that you are just fine.

Where are you John,
Where are you dear,
Are you happy out there,
Cause I'm not at all here,
I keep waiting for you,
But the clock ticks slow,
I used to count on you,
Now I guess not anymore.

What about the gorgeous wedding dress,
I wanted you to see,
What about the future plans,
We made you and me,
I'm going insane my love,
I'm going crazy, as you are gone,
Darling i feel so alone.

If God gave me a chance,
Baby I would ask you stay just once,
I would ask for more time,
For more time for the two of us,
And I would keep you close,
So close to me,
We would seat and laugh,
Or watch romantic movies,
And Oooh! the games,
We would play games all day long,
Swim along the sea, and tell each other's jokes,
Before I forget, your son is just fine,
You didn't even get to see him,
You didn't see him been born,
But he's fine dear John.

He looks exactly like you,
Same nose, curly hair, dimpled cheeks
Kind heart and really smart,
I wish you were here,
To see him grow,
But now I realize as hard as it is,
Darling I have to let you go,
Cause you are no more,
Only beautiful memories exist,
That would forever be cherished
I love you, I love you,
Baby I really do

This looks like a personal tragedy but you have narrated it in such an emotional way that it has become poignant for the universe. We share the sentiments expressed here. Thanks.
