What does it mean?
A question so contagious
Scrawled across pages
Since the Middle Ages
What does it mean?
No-one really knows
Lost in the snows
And sung by the crows
What does it mean?
Why do you ask?
It is quite a task
To answer so fast
What does it mean?
Such is life
A man and his wife
Deep in strife
What does it mean?
A desperate soul asks
Hiding beneath a mask
And drowning in a cask
What does it mean?
It cannot be answered
As elegant as a dancer
And terrible as a cancer
What does it mean?
You say you know
But you stay in tow
Tongue tied like a bow
What does it mean?
We may never find out
For life’s endless drought
Is packed full of doubt

I would like to translate this poem
A truely inspirational story of heart ache, blasphemy and prejudice.
