What Else Is Needed? Poem by Sumita Jetley

What Else Is Needed?

In the quiet dawn, Ria finds her peace,
'Allah hi kaafi hai, ' her heart's release.
With each morning's Salah, her day begins,
In her sunlit study, away from the din.

Books and blooms, her constant friends,
In chants of Dhikr, her spirit ascends.
A dance of devotion in rhythmic grace,
Bharatanatyam, her soul's embrace.

Her dog lies still, in gentle sleep,
Near the samovar, where thoughts run deep.
A life less ordinary, some might say,
But in her universe, she finds her way.

A blend of tradition with modern hues,
In Ria's world, serenity ensues.
With every step and every breath,
She dances the dance of faith till death.
