What Have We Become? Part 1 Poem by Drich The Poet

What Have We Become? Part 1

I've lived long enough
To be told I'm not trying.
Such extract is deemed fit for the dead.
From the breast of
My beloved, I've seen the woes
Of those long gone.
Every day can either be your last or you can make it last.
Put the gag aside, and wake up to reality.

Have they not been put to silence
Maybe we would have had the privilege to see heroes in book
With our own eyes.
Oh! Nelson Mandela…..
Sitting all day to be intrigued
By someone is callously becoming ridiculous.
Robin Hood in red my brother.

At a semi-age, we walk
Down the path of friendship
Unknown to us that it's love
In a kaleidoscope pattern,
We summarised everything into a bond.
Such a finish is a piece of art.

Sermons every day,
From being two little kids
Without an outwritten purpose,
To becoming the pillars
That would remain of Mama and Papa.
And don't forget their little sister.
She has grown into a beautiful woman.

Love at first wink
Thy heart sink
An approach is made
Intentions unveiled.
I put on my suit to say goodbye
To old me and the youthful vine
That speaks lust and timid to poaching
All men agree it's certainly not fair
We like other Italian specialties and that of the Sudan
But a gentleman is a star in the nights.

Sci-fi fanatics in the persona of Generals Of State
Have preached wars to the souls of my dear blood
Turned them into avatars of lethal weapons.
On the battlefield is a zone for no lazy man
No place and time to stop and look
That's why my prefix is lazy
May God help us.

In your heart, there is a turbulence
But you can't say cause society has not come to your level of understanding
We are made to do as CTRL + C
Without even questioning what we see!
Such irony has led to a fatal mind wash
To think everything as it is okay.

Kidnapped from my peaceful territory they called poverty.
Yet they loot from our behind in the names of development and aid
Yet they brought in AIDs
Leaders were recognized with a corona
Fast forward to today, it's the attribute of a killer virus
In a grande age,
We still accept to ignore.

My peers have taught me
That love at its best, is price tagged
Guess I'm not the only one still waiting for a discount.
Being off alone sometimes makes you feel like no one is there for you.
Modernization has conquered a very vital part of humanity.
Humility
