I look up to the sky,
Asking why,
He means so much to me,
Once I would have at least,
Backed away,
Would have been afraid,
But not today,

What has changed? ,
Or have i always been this way? ,
Did my morals go up in smoke? ,
Or have my loyalties changed? ,
When he’s gone,
What will remain? ,

Why have I chosen to trust him? ,
Did I even choose?
I could say that I thought,
What have I got to lose? ,
But that wouldn’t be true,
I chose to trust him,
Because I knew I could,
Because I knew he wouldn’t,
Be like everyone else
