I need a man with wisdom and experience
Not a boy that thinks life is a fairy tale
Then cries and sulks when things do not go his way
Not a boy who can not see through his numerous flaws
And thinks his word is law
I need a man with the courage to say 'it will be alright'
When things do not feel right
I care litle for a kid who will point and gloat
And say 'I told you so'
I do not need you to stand in righteous judgement
I just require a shoulder to cry on
An ear to listen and a comforting arm
I need not explain where I have been
Or why I could not answer my phone
I prefer to hear 'I care'
And 'I missed you when you were not here'
