They say that love is all you need,
Or a friend that's always true.
But while I need both love and friends,
What I need most is You.

For my friends are only human, Lord,
Their love's no certain thing.
But I can always trust Your promises,
I can count on the peace You bring.

So I thank You, Lord, for all my friends,
And I thank You, too, for love,
But most of all, I thank you, Lord,
For my Savior up above.
