Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Wanting.
Wanting and waiting. Waiting and wanting.
If I wait for what I want will I get it?
Probably not.
Probably not but maybe.
Probably not, but maybe, and what if I do.
What then? What will I do?
What would you do?
Bask in your glory. Your success.
Celebrate the out come of your what-a-mess
The accumulation of the process that knocked your socks off
And delivered you right here, to the want that you waited for.
Do you want it anymore?
Do I?
Probably
And so what if I do
And so what if you and me and all of the others want it to.
Who will get it?
Who will get it right where they want it?
Right in the middle, a blow to the core
And then who will want for nothing and want for nothing more
Do you want it still?
Do I?
Probably not
And if I think about all the things that I've not got
All the things that I have had and all the things that I still want
As a means to an end, an endeavour, a pursuit
A reoccurring dream, my decree absolute
The chance to want over and over again,
My chance to wallow, to long for and abstain
Am I still wanting the same
