What If (Stupid Poem) Poem by Lizzie Resendiz

What If (Stupid Poem)

Have you ever wondered what if
What if your parents never meet
What if you were never born
What if you never meet your friends
What if you never went here or did that
What if, what if, what if
Its fun to imagine
It can be scary to think
It can be happy or sad to remember
Knowing why isn’t always the same

You want to travel to the future
You just can not wait
You wonder if you will be happy
You wonder if you will have money
You wonder if you will have someone
That special someone you’ve always dreamed of
You wonder if you will have a nice house
You wonder how everything will be
But You don’t want to spoil it
So you go back in time

You Look deep into the past
You see how good things where
As you come closer to the present
You see how much things have changed
How much you have changed
You question everything
How? Why? What if?
You wonder why you did some things
And why you didn’t others
You question everything WHAT IF?

What if I never meet her
What if he never moved down here
What if she hadn’t meet him
What if I didn’t go
What if he did that
What if he never befriended him
What if they never got married
What if he would have died
What if he wouldn’t have crossed
WHAT IF? WHAT IF? WHAT IF?
-
It’s a shame every wasted word you don’t say
What if you don’t say what you want
Your words, They could be helpful
They could be what one wants to hear
Someone might need to hear them
You always have to question, What if
What if I do
What if I don’t
What if I die
What if, what if, what if
