What Is A Miracle? Poem by Denise Poole

What Is A Miracle?

Rating: 5.0

Is a miracle someone sick made well again,
Or changing water into wine?
Is a miracle a broken marriage made whole
Or something more divine?
Is it a baby's first breath fresh from the womb,
Or maybe realizing there is life beyond the tomb?
Could a miracle be finding shelter out of the cold?
Or celebrating 90 years old?
I wonder is a miracle the moment you finally say, 'I do.',
Or hearing the words' I think he's going to pull through'.
Was it a miracle that caused a babe to be born in a stable,
Or could it be having food on your table?
I bet a miracle is your parents handing you the car keys,
Or maybe Jesus' walk across the sea?
A miracle is a touch, a thought, a kick from the womb,
A song, the sun, flowers in bloom.
What is a miracle?
Life; in all its beauty and sorrow,
It is today and it is tomorrow.
Life was created by a miracle touch from God our Father,
Because He loves us so much.
