What is man?
In the beginning Man is huge.
Giants and giantesses stride through fields and forests,
mind intent on God, rich beyond measure.
Then they lose sight,
forgot full might of Divine,
claim knowledge, happiness and deeds for their body
and become small,
weighed down by cares.
Content with nitpicking
and eating and sleeping,
they will swing from branch to branch in the jungle,
chattering and scratching themselves.
Unless, locked in vicious selfishness,
they’ll stalk for prey –
or be eaten.
But hey,
Be still.
Why be content with little
when all is offered?
Be still and be really rich!
Now is the beginning.
