What Is Poetry? - Poem by Elena R. Jiménez

Words playfully gathered
To depict the inner-most sensitivity
Of a feeling, of a struggle;
At the light of the Truth.
Words with the rhythm of Life
And the melody of Beauty
Subdued to the harmonic dissonance of Faith
Words in lines that guide...
Words in verses that inspire...
That incomprehensible power everpresent
in the art of Creation:
That is Poetry!
